You can enable WAN ping by downloading cleartext config from 192.168.1.254/dumpcfgdynamic.cmd, editing it, adding lines, and then uploading back to the router. More info here.

Any word on this yet Plusnet FIRMWARE ?
Tried this earlier twice with stock PLUSNET firmware..... plaintext won't re-upload.....
ERROR.................
Are you guys just pushing the adsl side ?
Any word yet Plusnet or do I gotta hack the damn thing up if it ain't a wind up that is!
cus nothing I try works from that thread on the STOCK firmware!!!!!!!!!!

You just need to remove the space before <xml> in the first line, and remove couple of last lines with the stats after the </DslCpeConfig> tag. Then it will be accepted.
