Re: Hub One

Best to wait till you are upgraded on the 2nd  Wink  although it should be plug and play.

Re: Hub One

I would configure it off-line if you want to change any settings (those that your can that is) and put in your username and password instead of the tr069 entries. I would then put it on-line tomorrow in daylight hours a good hour after sunrise and a good hour before sunset as you are on a longer ADSL connection. Your ADSL should work fine and when you are connected to Fibre, it all ought to change over automatically when the work at the Cab is done - famous last words Wink

Re: Hub One

I've installed a Plusnet Hub One today worked straight out of the box.
Just one silly question on the front of the hub under the Status light there's a clear plastic panel with a protective tear off selophane strip over it, what is it for?

Re: Hub One

To protect the clear plastic panel Huh Wink
Welocme to the forum btw.
Now I guess you really mean what's the clear plastic panel for? I can only guess there might be other warning LEDs similar to BT's HomeHub. Try turning off your wireless for example and see if anything else lights up.

Re: Hub One

There are broadband and wifi indicators in that area which are normally off if the relevant service is ok.
Apart from the main status light there are no other reassuring indicators normally visible.
Page 14 of the booklet should explain their usage.

Is the booklet on-line anywhere Dick? I couldn't find anything useful when I looked.

Re: Hub One

Go to the >Troubleshooting >Helpdesk page Scott. If you copy and paste it into a post, don't forget to redact things like serial number, mac address, usename & SSIDs
As far as the videos go, both (the 3rd is a duplicate) are on the Support Pages as well as the Youtube channel. They are nothing more than the "Dummies Guides". The first covering what's in the box and how to plug it all in, then connect either via WiFi or Ethernet. It has the usual plug it unto the Master socket to get the best Fibre speeds comment, which is actually BS if you have extension wiring AND it's all up to the right standard. BUT there is no mention of extension wiring and how it will seriously affect your speeds if it's NOT up to standard - well done Plusnet Roll_eyes   Right at the end of the video there's mention of a Troubleshooter video and a brief picture of the broadband  "b" light flashing orange in the "plastic panel area" - well done again Plusnet, easy to watch a video if your BB isn't connecting Roll_eyes
The second is all about logging into it and change wireless settings etc and resetting it all. Brilliant.
