Re: How to change router from 2.4 Ghts to 5.0 Ghtz

If it's in its default state it's transmitting on both frequencies in synchronism and your device has decided to use the 2.4 GHz channel. What you need to do is separate the bands then select the 5 GHz band on your device list of available wifi networks. The password will be the same as for 2.4 GHz. See https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840 for separating the bands.

Some older wifi devices only have the ability to work on the 2.4ghz band.
Generally this band is much more populated/busy than 5ghz, at least currently!

@Gel

To avoid confusion whilst I agree with you the OP states that this topic is about a Hub One, which as we both know is dual band.

See your other post. Removing the syncronisation in the router should be your first move. The Asus can receive both frequencies and could well be getting confused by having both coming in with the same SSID and password.
