How many gateways is there?

Hi folks,

Reading through some other post, people have mentioned being on colingdale, southbank, old or new network or whatever.....How can I find out what I'm currently on?  and what difference does any of them make to the end user?

Sorry if that's a really daft question.

Thanks again Mook,

I got the following message from your link:

Sorry, the tool failed to identify your gateway; this does not mean that anything is wrong with your connection.

Posting the following information as a reply to the Gateway Checker Issues topic in the Community forums will help us to diagnose the problem.

Am I currently on 'Colindale' or is that a generic error message?

There are others on the forum way better qualified than I am to answer this question so with some luck someone will answer you soon.

Re: How many gateways is there?

On the old network some of the gateways performed worse than others and we would gateway hop to find a better one, to loose the packet loss and or poor speeds.  No idea if doing that is useful seeing the length of the packetloss thread.

As for that tool not identifying it, just means its a new one its not been configured to see yet, as its a community made and run website, its not PN's
