How long does plusnet take after BT disconnect me?

Woken up this morning to no internet  says my user details are incorrect (bt infinity ones) so I have tried entering my plusnet ones into the PPPoE username field etc but no joy. Seems that working from home is going to be working from Costa today. What are people's experience of this?  Hours or days ?

When I moved from BT, Plusnet switched the service on about 5:30pm the same day. You post here may however alert Plusnet staff to switching it on earlier?

The Plusnet automated system should connect you within 1/2 hour or so of BT disconnect, but alas doesn't always seem to work.
If you ring Plusnet service they should be able to do it for you pretty much immediately (that is, immediately after any phone waiting ...)

When you entered your Plusnet username I hope you got the format right! (username@plusdsl.net)

Yep all up and running, Have created a post easy to find by prospective new customers. V happy
