Hi
I've just changed to FTTC and it looks as though this has happened today. I'm aware that training occurs for 10 days, but although it appears I'm on a decent profile, I'm still getting ADSL2 speeds. I have a fairly "bespoke" but stable network, using a BT / Huawei Echolife modem (bridge mode) and a separate corporate-class firewall which terminates the PPPOE. Although I could test using the plusnet hub 1, it will be fairly disruptive so to start with I'd just like to know if I should expect to start at higher speeds and train down, or start at low speeds and train up?
The modem is reporting Upstream rate = 2000 Kbps, Downstream rate = 39998 Kbps, but I'm getting nothing like that.
Here's lots of info & stats from my testing over ethernet.
##################################
BT speed test results
7.66M down / 1.43M up / 46.25ms latency
Download speed achieved during the test was - 7.66 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 20 Mbps-38.71 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 38.71 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 1.43Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 2 Mbps
I'm unable to run Test 3 as I was unable to sync using the username speedtest@speedtest_domain (I also tried speedtest@plusdsl.net in case that's an unclear instruction, but same issue)

Estimated line speed:

It's nothing to do with training which doesn't take 10 days, it syncs as fast as it can and the speed may be reduced if there are a lot of errors. However you are syncing at the maximum speeds for the 40/2 service so that's good. You need to call customer support and ask them to update your profile which is still set to ADSL speeds and needs manual intervention to sort it. I had to do this when I was upgraded to FTTC last weekend. I'm quite close to the cabinet and get 79987Mbps down / 19999Mbps up sync speeds.
