How long before I can order?

I have been watching with great interest progress at my local exchange and the cabinets outside for FTTC provision.  All works have now completed.
BT Broadband (http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.TelephoneNumberOutput) still only shows ADSL plus available but  BT OpenBreach (https://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/) ays to ask provider.
Went onto Plus net site and tried to order but got an internal server error message.  Chat support told me to check on dslchecker.
How loing does it take for FTTC to be enabled once cabinet work is complete?
I wannit NOW!!!  Tongue

Re: How long before I can order?

I know some local BT chaps as I work closely with them for my work.

Re: How long before I can order?

Hey,
@OldMole
If its not showing DSL checker then this would indicate there is still work needed to be done either physical work or updates.
A knew Plusnet policy has come into action and this is, we Email customers to let them know when Fibre is available.
So look out for an Email.

Re: How long before I can order?

If it's had all the fibre and power work done, then it should be available within a matter of days (as long as no issues on testing).
Which cabinet/exchange is this?

Re: How long before I can order?

I'm not sure if Andy can identify from the phone number but if you put it in to http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome and post the exchange name and cabinet number from the top he may have more information.

Re: How long before I can order?

I can't give an exact date, but it's on the March 2015 Coming Soon list for Openreach.
There are three cabinets (1, 2 and 3) on that exchange being covered by BDUK Scotland.
Edit: It looks like most (or all) properties on that exchange were exchange only, so they will have some work to do in order to move over lines to cabinets and be ready for fibre.

@AndyH
Brilliant thanks very much.  Most informative.
Interesting that there are 3 cabinets.  There are two right outside the exchanmge, wonder where the other is.
Thanks again.  I await with (nearly) baited breath.

Re: How long before I can order?

Have you tried the link I gave to find out which cabinet you are on? The cabinet number is painted on the outside.

Re: How long before I can order?

I tried putting in some addresses in the address checker and they call came back EO. So I guess the lines have yet to be transferred across to the PCP cabs.
