Hi @SteveA

Thanks for keeping us updated. We normally expect firmware requests to be actioned within 2/3 working days, but I'm sure @adamwalker will keep you in the loop as to when that's been done.

Best wishes

Dave

I only noticed it was on the ceased list because it did a restart out of the blue and I noticed that the firmware hadn't updated

Sorry for the delayed update, we've added your router to the hardware management platform.

Once you've carried out a factory reset, you should be on newer firmware within a few days.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

OK - I won't be doing that until I'm off call next week as I'll have to reconfigure it once its been reset.

No worries Steve, let us know if you don't get any new firmware following the reset

Re: How frequent do disconnects have to be before Its worth raising a fault?

So its upgraded to 4.7.5.1.83.8.263

And the network discovery bug (https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Software-version-4-7-5-1-83-8-237-2-2-No-devices-showing-on-... ) is still partially present in that it doesn't properly see devices on the wireless connections

There are currently 2 phones, 2 laptops and a printer connect via the Wireless connections

(although it does seem to find things on the LAN sockets which was the main problem as without those you couldn't do port forwarding)

Re: How frequent do disconnects have to be before Its worth raising a fault?

The 5GHz network seems to be pretty much dead - I can connect to it but there is just about no throughput, android throws fits about it, my linux laptop just sulks.

When I'm on the 5GHz network ping just hangs

I'm not using the router for DNS

Starting to wish I'd not upgraded the firmware now.

And my phone, even though its connected to my 2Ghz wifi, keeps telling me I'm connected to a BT hotspot and need to sign in.
