High ping spikes

Lately I've been having huge ping spikes when playing games, and eventually I noticed it was when another device in the household was playing Netflix. It's spiking unusually high just for one device watching Netflix. I'm on wired, but a pingtest on all devices get the same results.
This is what a traceroute looks like when said device is streaming Netflix.
Tracing route to google-public-dns-a.google.com [8.8.8.8]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 1 ms <1 ms dsldevice.lan [192.168.1.254]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * 9 ms 8 ms 129.hiper04.sheff.dial.plus.net.uk [195.166.143.129]
4 180 ms 103 ms 69 ms 128.hiper04.sheff.dial.plus.net.uk [195.166.143.128]
5 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms 195.99.125.136
6 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms peer3-et-7-0-4.redbus.ukcore.bt.net [62.172.103.252]
7 8 ms 9 ms 9 ms 109.159.253.3
8 * * * Request timed out.
9 244 ms 132 ms 125 ms 209.85.249.216
10 10 ms 10 ms 10 ms 216.239.49.215
11 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms google-public-dns-a.google.com [8.8.8.8]
Trace complete.
And a quick ping:
Pinging 8.8.8.8 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=9ms TTL=121
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=9ms TTL=121
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=154ms TTL=121
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=9ms TTL=121
I don't know how to interpret these results so I'm looking for any and all help.
Thank you.

Thanks for getting in touch.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having issues with lag spikes.
The traceroutes and pings you've provided aren't showing any particular issues. It's normal for some hops in a traceroute to have increased latency as some servers will prioritize passing traffic instead of responding to ping requests. As long as the traceroute doesn't shown a continuous high latency then it's fine.
I've also tested your line on the off-chance there's a line fault but our tests aren't showing any issues either. Is it possible to connect the device you're gaming on directly to the router with a wired connection to see if you still get the same issue?
