High ping in certain games, high packet loss

Hello. It is currently 7 so the maintenance is done by now, but I am still receiving high packet loss and EXTREMELY high ping (10000) in 1 game (rust) on every single server. What do I do now?

Hi there, which platform are you playing this game on and do speed tests look any different to normal for you?

rust is PC exclusive so im playing on PC.

No the speedtests are looking fine on my PC , 40 MB/s while i get 45 MB/s when standing next to phone with router. Other people have complained about this on reddit and on some servers i play on so its not just affecting me

You are not alone. Currently trying to open a ticket to Plusnet now. Packloss is the issue - check your packetloss if you can.

I'm getting over 10% loss currently. It's a joke!

Note: It's not rust - if you were to check your packetloss, you'd see it there. Rust just seems quite sensitive to it !

PS. I own Rustoria (Rust server) - HUGE latency issues with Plusnet.

Yes, Rust is unusable. I'm monitoring the packetloss (apart from TBB graphs / whitebox) in TS3, it's not pretty.

Nothing on the public twitter / server status, nice of plusnet to let us know !

So I'm guessing that on Sunday they decided to implement a 'new' network, which doesn't have any peers other than BT, and caused an hour outage followed by very bad latency/packet loss - sounds like compensation to me.

I'd be happy just to have it fixed! 

I'd imagine trying to get compensation would be excruciating if possible at all!

Mods here are customers Not PN staff so they will have no idea whats happening .

TBH PN Staff have been quiet on this problem

I suspect customer facing staff just arnt aware. 

All we have is to hope that it has indeed been flagged and that it is indeed being looked at. 

I'll be contacting them again if nothing happens - question is how long is reasonable...

i already raised a fault to the team a few days ago, as usual the response was its because i'm on wifi (even though i get 30 ping on wifi on every single other game and no packet loss issues with EVEN talktalk who are considered terrible) and nothing was told about the high packet loss. First month of plusnet and already starting to doubt my decision.

Can you try a disconnect/reconnect and see how Rust performs after that?
