High packet loss and other DNS issues

i disagree, sky and bt were fine on my line prior to plusnet, BB speed slows down, had to turn off the router then boom full speed.

Been away all weekend and got back to this, so seems to be better for me just now.

By getting my router not to drop the connection it seems to have stuck to the same ip address. Live TBB quality monitor

Latency seems to be on the rise but will continue checking to see what happens

Your line has a fault. This is not what is being discussed in this thread. We should have an update on your fault within 72 hours, however I would suggest you start your own thread as the issue doesn't seem related to this thread.

I have left pingplotter running all day to see whats been happening.

This is the last 12 hrs where you can see the odd packet drop during the day, then get to 6pm and all hell lets loose!

 Then this is the last 30mins where you can see its every couple of minutes.

@watercooled - I've just checked your account and it seems the password in the router is incorrect.  If you log into the router and update this you should then get online.

In respect of your fault, I can advise that this has been raised and as it was indicating an external network fault, an engineer will be assigned to investigate this further.

yes done that and have a connection again.

not sure why i had to do that but hey ho.

openreach knocked on this morning, there is a line fault he says and is now investigating.

Luckily I've been in Kenya while all this has been going on. Looking back I an see that while I was away my connection was all over the place. However, I'm happy to report that it's now settled down & performing better than for several months. I confirmed yesterday that I am on the new network. Hopefully all those who are still having problems will soon be in the same happy position.

Because we regularly do network maintenance unrelated to the issues in this thread?
