Re: High packet loss and other DNS issues

hahah.. that's the funniest thing i've read so far.
question 1 - who knows, if they are then you won't get them to say anything
question 2 - you'll need to phone them, and sit in a massive queue

you can't raise a ticket for these types of issues, you need to call them (or use the useless online chat).

Re: High packet loss and other DNS issues

i just spoke to online chat, and apparently they know about this current packet loss problem and they are currently working on it.

quote - "This is not resolved. As stated we are still working on it and we originally expected to have it fixed at a quick time however it is taking longer than expected, due to this the networking team are going to be adding a service notice to our website shortly."

I'm not sure where that person has got their information from, because that's not correct.

Your line has a lower mean time between errors than I'd like to see, at 68 seconds. I could try increasing the SNR to combat this up to a 9db target if you like?

Re: High packet loss and other DNS issues

@watercooled

Your issues are completely unrelated to this thread. You have a copper line fault and your line is in sync at 7.3Mbps.

I'd advise getting this reported to us as a fault at https://faults.plus.net

Re: High packet loss and other DNS issues

I was told earlier today that I'm on the new system & I don't have any of the packet loss problems. However, I am completely unable to run a speed test on speedtest.net. I can't connect to their server. Is this likely to be related?
