Let's try and keep this thread on topic. The information you've posted in the thread above is misinformed at best.
I'm certainly having a bad time Bob.

I too am having problems mostly with Xbox Live. It's reporting high packet loss and erratic download speeds although the BTW and Speedtest.net show everything is fine. I can't get the TBB monitoring to work (Dynamic IP) or the Pingtest (router doesn't respond to ICMP)
I'm connected to Colindale

@bobpullen But with the lack of information and updates from PN are you surprised that you get these posts .
I was going to post something along exactly the same lines!

Since the change made yesterday at 15:15, the packet loss issue appears fixed on my connection via Colindale.
There were no disconnects on Rainbow Six Siege via xbox live last night, first time since we moved to the new network. There were some rubber banding issues in game but overall complaints were down in our household.
Pingtest shows (note I'm not using JAVA so it cant check for packet loss)
Speedtest shows my download speed is up 20% on what I have been used to on the old network I think thats 55/10 finally being applied when I moved to the new network rather than 40/20.
The latency spikes tend to be when I run a speed test

This kind of makes sense and would explain why my line speed is stuck at 40mb since my initial problems started over a month ago.
So I only get half my speed and limited usage during peak times all for the price of 80/20 package..... I do however still get packet lose and video buffering or none responsive internet pages. All rounded into my monthly fee Thanks Plusnet.

So... Any news or updates on this?
I've got a ping running to plus.net - have had for a while, only the thing is, now it's almost constantly responding with request timed out and on the odd occasion it doesn't, the response time is over 5000ms...
portal.plus.net also times out
*bang head against wall*

@dnpark38 i read that people on static IP are effectively put back on the old network (the one that didn't have problems) and the drop in speed is due to their profile being reset

Excalibre68's Fact guide is a very good summary. Including Customer services deliberately hanging up.
I am running a complaint through their system and have been offered some compensation (£50). However as yet nothing re the continuing problems ( I tried a static IP - some temporary improvement only). I await a reply on this . I suspect the only way to get PN to actually address this issue properly for the "very few customers" involved will be to deadlock the complaints and go to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) by contacting the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS). If successful this should allow significant compensation for a broadband service not being as described over a long period of time - the evidence is here and on other forums. Such an arbitration result could also be used, for example in national press, to demonstrate PN's poor customer service and deliberate procrastination. Given PN's radio ads at present a strong case could also be made to the advertising standards authority to have them remove their advertisements. perhaps then PN might actually behave like a responsible company.

I can also Confirm changing over to a Static ip over the weekend Resolved the WoW Issues and other packet loss we were experiencing since moving to the NEW network around a week ago or so.
But as I have stated... Once the Issue is Resolved I would Like to be re-funded £5 and returned to a Dynamic ip.
