PN have advised after my complaint about Packet Loss that they have added Interleaving to my line.

Well my speed as dropped by 3 Mb  (-10%) but pingtest.net is reporting 0% Packet Loss,  Ping 13ms,   Jitter 1ms, Grade A

Would interleaving have got me this?

Just another thing I have checked is my gateway

ptw-bng01 Telehouse West,  have I moved back to the old network or still on new network?

Thanks

🙂 That is good news then, I must have made contact with a good guy at Plusnet.

Now just hoping the rest of you get put right.

If there was any doubt of the cause...

Pingtest to nearest server with no VPN
hGDhKAN

Pingtest with VPN

ir7XQUY

Pingtest without VPN but to the same server as the VPN

Re: Performance Woes Hamper PlusNet Users as New Network Takes Blame

I haven't actually raised a ticket with Plusnet as of yet but look's like this evening I'm routing through pcl-bng01.plus.net and I now have no packet lose. Here's to hoping it stays that way.

@nightstalk3r

Doesn't that just show that some sort of traffic management gone wrong then?

You | plusnet  | plusnet middleware | pingtest.

You | plusnet  | VPN | pingtest.

I'm not sure what the cause is, all we know is it has been an ongoing issue for over 2 months with the new network.

Re: Performance Woes Hamper PlusNet Users as New Network Takes Blame

Just had a random PPP session drop, after reconnecting im now getting 0% packet loss.

Also noticed the ISP is now showing correctly as PlusNet so i must have been moved back to the old network or something.

It is not the "old" WMBC shared network, see Jelv's post in message 450.

https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/High-packet-loss-and-other-DNS-issues/m-p/1364514#M456...

It is the new dedicated (to PN) WBC network but with a static IP it terminates on a gateway accessible from both networks.

At least that’s how I *think* understand it......

@nightstalk3r

Or you have static IP which you can checked for at https://www.plus.net/my.html?action=myconnection

@SpendLessTime

Yeah you're right i have been given a static IP, i only filed a support ticket 5 minutes ago and it's had no replies yet, weird.
