Morning,
Over the past month I have ping spikes in all online games, on avg its around 40ms but spikes to over 500 and settles right back down. will do this every few mins throughout the game. I have tried everything I can find on the forum.
PC is connected via Wifi (5GHz) separate channel, though did try via cable and was still the same.
Changed the router to BTHub6 again no difference other than better wifi connection.
Bought Static IP again no difference.
It does this anytime of the day regardless of anyone else on the network.
Running out of ideas as changed every setting on router back n forth with no luck.
Any suggestions welcome, this started about 4 weeks ago was fine up to this point.

Hi @Cordwe11,
I'm sorry that you're experiencing ping spikes and for any inconvenience that this is causing. Thank you for confirming that this occurs on both wired and wireless connections and that changing to a different router didn't help.
I've tested your line but the test hasn't picked up the cause from here:

We'll need to do some further troubleshooting to try and narrow down the cause. If you've not done so already, I'd recommend starting with basic checks here. If these checks don't resolve the problem, the next step would be to connect your router directly to the test socket, which is under the faceplate of your master socket and seeing if the connection stabilises. This rules out internal wiring, face plates and extension sockets as being the cause. Please see the following guide for instructions on how to connect to the test socket. https://community.plus.net/t5/Library/Testing-From-The-Master-Socket/ba-p/1322242
Please let us know how you get on.
