Re: Help of diagnosing my high error rates causing resyncs

Actual line speed 47,406 which is significantly higher than reported by the GEA Test and is a result of Retransmission High

How is the interference customer premises determined as opposed to just outside it which is the only overhead wire across the road from the pole and given that numerous checks have failed to identify any internal source on interference

Note that the actual line length is 800 metres

@Oldjim

What are the line stats looking like now that it seems stable?

Re: Help of diagnosing my high error rates causing resyncs

The ES rate is almost zero now! Has someone quietly replaced the cable to the exchange? Thumbs_Up  Looks just like you are on a brand new line.

Otherwise it's a mystery.

Just had a power cut and as usual my router restarted quicker than everyone else - this won't hold

Re: Help of diagnosing my high error rates causing resyncs

The downstream SNRM is well below the minimum specified. BT have only recently reduced SNRM from 6db to 3db as a theoretical minimum but yours is in the realms of instability (as you well know). To me this indicates a DLM fault of some sort, especially if it doesn't even try to regain at least 3db. There must be a way to get a DLM reset done surely? Even if it means getting a BT technician to visit. You have enough evidence to show that the line is unstable because of the DLMs failure to control at correct settings.

Re: Help of diagnosing my high error rates causing resyncs

It's not a DLM fault, Oldjim's routed resynced quickly at the normal 6dB SNRM then other lines came back up creating noise and crosstalk resulting in a reduction in SNRM to a rather low level which will soon cause a resync.

Re: Help of diagnosing my high error rates causing resyncs

According to the last GEA test, it's on a 3 dB target SNRM setting.

Re: Help of diagnosing my high error rates causing resyncs

It is on 3dB default it is just that it resynched before the crosstalk from other users came in
