2 problems.
firstly prob is ..... the Fibre routers wifi just randomly stops working and needs a power cycle to sometimes get it back ?.
works about 50% of the time after a power cycle .
But today it took 5 or 6 goes to get it working. ( plus the wifi range is pretty naff compared to my previous BB router)
Secondly its the speed under 30mb today .. usually about 37-38.
Over the years we have always been brought up with the hogwash from some ISP's ( not Pnet
) that speed is down due outside influences on our old 8mb broadband . I.e getting 4-5mb or lower , but it always been down to traffic shaping and porkie telling! , not had that at all so far since moving to plusNet.
Since moving to Plusnet broadband we nearly always had a 7.9 connection so pretty close
But! now on fibre so should be having a super time !! not quite !
We were offered 76mb as we are a stones throw from the fibre box,, so plenty of speed is available , so why is the top speed only 38ish at best , and currently only 30ish ?
Should be 40 or just over all the time . shouldn't it ?
or is our router playing up
Chris.
