Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

So I got an SMS just now :
Quote
I have spoken to our suppliers today and been advised the open exception is still being investigated by the high level escalations team. I have been informed that the order has a mismatch of data which is causing the delay. We have been asked to check back on the order on the 02/06/2015.

What's a mismatch of data ?
I'm moving in the flat on the 1st of June.

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

Looking over the notes on the order, essentially our suppliers started to build the order going off of information on their systems, but when trying to progress they found that the information didn't match up on all systems and the equipment they initially intended to use may not actually exist physically.

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

I've had problems since 7th May and 2 engineers have come to my property, the first guy phoned and the next guy just knocked and woke me up. So I guess it's 50/50.

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

From what I can see the order has been delayed due to a lack of ports at the cabinet which means essentially it's full for the time being.
There's extra ports due to be added on the 1st of July but until then we can't get you on fibre.
If internet access is a priority it will probably be best to cancel this and go with standard broadband until then.

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

Thank Matt, and how long would you need to setup a normal broadband ?
Also, if I stick to the fibre, how long would I need to wait after the increase of port numbers, will I have to wait an extra 2/3 weeks after the 1st of July to get a BT engineer to set it up in the flat as it is usually the case with Plusnet ?

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

Hi,
can you confirm that the BT engineer will come on the 9th between 8am and 1pm ?
Last appointement was a no show, so I'd like you to confirm this one.
Thank you  Smiley

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

Apologies for the delayed response. I've just checked the order for you and it all seems to be progressing fine with the appointment committed for 09/07/15 between 8am and 1pm  Smiley

Re: Having a call before the BT engineer visit

SHAME !
You made me wait months for the upgrade of the fibre cabinet of the area, in order to have space to cable my flat,
and you finally annonced that it was ready,
you sent a BT engineer, and what happened ?
After coming on site he said that the cabinet still haven't been upgraded and there's no space for any new flat to be connected !
