Got Fibre about 3 months ago from adsl2. On adsl2 I got 13 megs (or 1.3 I can never remember what one to use) download.
My Bt estimate thingy states I should get 38 meg. However my ip profile is only 26. It was 30 on install and has gradually got slower over time.
When I'm downloading, it does tend to be on or around that 26 megs level, so its still twice the speed of ADSL for almost the same price, so not complaining there. Also, I've downloaded a mahoosive amount as well with my gang stuck on netflix and gaming etc all day, so again, pretty happy really.
However, surfing seems slower. ie I click a web link and see proxy loading or waiting for cache or whatever for a second or two, and then it zooms in. Just seems slower or less slick than before.
Also pings are always at 35ms. Is that OK?
Are these issues, just what I have to accept or is there something that can be done?
