Has anyone had almost constant dropouts with the BT & Plusnet routers ?

Wonder if anyone knows what is the message "PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]" because AFIK I didn't request it LOL.

When I was with BT I had similar issues. Called for an OpenReach engineer who turned up and replaced the socket.

Problems persisted.

Bought a replacement VDSL modem and problems sorted.

The issue was definitely the modem.

Yeah I now have the TP Link TD-W9970 router and so far the connection has been stable. I also noticed it connected to the Internet very quickly unlike the BT Hub 5 and the Plusnet Router when I first set it up.

Hi, took delivery of BT Hub 5B ysterday, with the Broadcom chip and so far no disconnects.

Fingers crossed.

Will report back, in a few days, when I can see that its holding connection.

Hi there all. Been connected for 8 straight days now.
Looks like the BT Hub 5B likes my line better that the Plusnet one.
