Half supposed speed.

I appreciate the 'up to' part of the up to 40mb service I signed up to, and i also understand the many variables that can affect the speed, but the BT engineer who installed my Fibre told (and showed me on his tester) that my line was capable of 80mb download speeds. My cabinet is 25 yards from my front door and he also told me that they was plenty of capacity in my cabinet. He also said my line was very good.So I am confused at to why I'm only getting a measly 20mb ?

Try the BT  speedtest - further diagnostics and report the IP profile http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/

That test will show the maximum speed that BT Wholesale (who supply Plusnet's service) say you can get as well as the current speed from the BTW speed test.
it is a requirement of any Plusnet fault reporting to run this test.

Hence your problem is the Current Line Speed which is wrong - either phone or use chat to request that it be changed to match your IP profile

You're asking for your Plusnet profile to be increased to match your BT profile.

Apparently nothing needs adjusting as it's all set correctly. And now i've got to waste a load more time filling out a support thingamy that crashed half way through.

Your connection hadn't dropped since the profile had been updated.
Are you still having issues with the speed?

Speeds are now at a far more acceptable 35mbps thank you

Same problem is back again. Speeds ranging between 5 and 20mbps download. Could some one do whatever they did last time and fix it please.
