HR On line / Issues with speed.

Hi all,

 

About three weeks ago i noticed my internet speed slowing down significantly. I was averaging around 55-60Mbps, untill last week where for a whole day it was around 0.5Mbps, couldnt even use google. I rang up plusnet and they did a few tests and apparently there was a wet joint, or a hr on the line. The engineer came out earlier today, tested everything for about a hour and a half and couldn't find anything. 

My intenet speed is currently around 30Mbps, well under the guaranteed amount.

Heres my broadband info;

  • Product: Unlimited Fibre Extra
  • Estimated Download Range: 60 - 72Mbps
  • Estimated Upload Range: 16 - 17Mbps
  • Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 54.6Mbps
  • Current Line Speed (Download): 45Mbps

The current line speed is lower than the guaranteed speed?. heres the last speedtest;

Ping: 23
Download: 31.72 Mbps

Upload: 16.73

 

Directly plugged into my PC, all devices off in the house and disconnected.

Hi @marcky98, sorry to hear you're having broadband issues.

 

I have tested the line and it is currently syncing at 57.5Mbps however I can see that your speed tests have also failed from our side. I am afraid we would need to send another engineer to the property to investigate.
