HG612 vs ECI Modem

Before i raise and if i raise a fault, i have just gone back to the ECI modem on my line and what a difference it is showing on my speed results, i'm getting slower upload results showing and eratic download results showing. the HG812 is very accurate with testing and stabilty but i now i have gone back to the ECI, speeds are all over the place especially uploads.
Should i put this down too equipment faulty or let it go? i may well have to swap back the modem again later.
ECI Results - BT Wholesale = 78.22 down, 9 up
                        Speedtest = 74.3 down, 17.5 up
                        Ping 45
HG612 Results - BT Wholesale = 75 down, 15.5 up
                              Speedtest = 74 down, 16-17 up
                              Ping 28
As you can see the ECI is less accurate than the other modem i purchased

It's not the modem that is inaccurate ,The BTW performance tester always give dodgy speed test results  try think broadband speed tester  the older flash test not the newer one, or there are a few  servers on speed test.net that give reliable results that are fairly consistent
