Green OR cabinets - what can go wrong after engineer visit?

I've heard that engineers working in the green OR cabinets on the street can sometimes 'knock' or 'move' pairs in the cabinet and therefore affect connection/sync speeds. But I was wondering what exactly happens in this case, and how can you go about detecting it and getting it fixed? In the worst case scenarios I've heard engineers (sometimes subcontractors) can move your pairs to a new card and you can be adversely affected by cross-talk or just 'loss of sync'?
Apologies if I'm waffling away here, but I'm just curious to know what possibly can go slightly amiss when an engineer fiddles around inside a cabinet?

IWe can usually detect a cross-jumpering issue or a line card problem through remote diagnostic checks Smiley
I'd not worry about this unless there's a clear sign of a problem though.

Cheers Adam! Any chance you can check for me please? I've put in a query/request but no one's answered me at all since Friday. Any help greatly appreciated.

Fantastic Matty! Sync and speeds are back up to full strength. Can't thank you guys enough!!! Absolutely brilliant.
Also, would you recommend I reboot the modem once just to settle everything down after the fix?

Great news Smiley
Might as well leave it all as it is for now.

Re: Green OR cabinets - what can go wrong after engineer visit?

Sorry to hijack the thread - but last OR visit I had, the engineer did mention something about some dodgy jumpering on my line in the cab, would PN be able to see if there is any issues with this on my line / port etc?
I had a contractor install, and while I don't want to tar them all with the same brush, I wouldn't be surprise if there were some corners cut...
