Getting rather concerned about connection

I ordered fibre broadband several weeks ago , have received the router and it should be up and running by tomorrow  because that is when my current ISP BT is due to cut me off and yet when i log on I see Plusnet is still "preparing my account" and have not yet sent me a confirmation email. Phoning them is a waste of time as I am told there is a 50 minute waiting time and if BT cut me off tomorrow I don't see how I am going to get that email from Plusnet. Can anyone suggest anything as I am getting somewhat anxious as i must have broadband up and running
