Again . . . .
Sorry, the tool failed to identify your gateway; this does not mean that anything is wrong with your connection.
Posting the following information as a reply to the Gateway Checker Update topic (which is now locked!) in the Community Announcements forum will help us to diagnose the problem.
- core1-hu0-9-0-1.southbank.ukcore.bt.net (195.99.127.2) 4.482 ms
- 195.99.125.139 (195.99.125.139) 4.417 ms
Does this have anything to do with the fact that my ISP is now shown as "Guidant - Hong Kong" when I look using whois.arin.net via Fing, or IPNetInfo.

My address is in the 209.93.180 range of addresses (within the range allocated to Guidant Hong Kong).
Does this mean our details and data are being handled in Hong Kong, (with or without Chinese government 'assistance'? Or are PlusNet moving into supplying services to Hong Kong?
It doesn't quite ring true with the Plusnet Yorkshire adverts.

It means neither. The range your IP is assigned from has been used by others prior to us acquiring it. Because this is an ARIN address, it's likely it will stay registered to an entity outside of the UK, however the popular geo-location databases should all have been updated to show UK as the location of use.
I've a suspicion the problem you're seeing is related to this.

Looks like 84.93.255.81 has the wrong rDNS assignment. That will also need fixing by us. The gateway is ptw-bng02.

@bobpullen As a short-term measure until the rDNS entry is updated I've corrected that by applying a temporary fix to the gateway checker.
Also I've assumed that 195.99.125.139 (from the earlier report) which lacks rDNS is psb-ir01. Is that correct?

Thanks @tfc
The outbound trace confirms my gateway assumption for your IP (psb-ir01) is correct. The checker tool now reports that.
The IPNetInfo record for the range seems correct. The Fing information is (at best) well out of date.
