Re: Gateway Check Issues.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, there's nothing wrong with my speed or anything else as far as i can see, just wondered why it had rebooted and why the unusual reading when checking witch gateway i was on.
I havent heard anything about the changing network from plusnet.
Thanks again

Re: Gateway Check Issues.

Several Community topics mention the new network, the blockbuster Plusnet New Network being the main one. From a user's point of view the change should have no detrimental effects though some have reported access to certain websites affected by geo-location inaccuracies with the ranges of dynamic IPs allocated on the new network.

Re: Gateway Check Issues.

Hi, Ive read your comments and the line seems more stable now i.e not as many faults showing in router but I have noticed on a few sites it takes quite a bit time to open them, Thought I'd report it just in case Plusnet are keeping an eye on the comments

regards

Jono

Thanks. Smiley

Getting these problems fixed by Plusnet is unfortunately taking a very long time.

@saguaro That trace line confirms you are on the new network connected through the Colindale Point of Presence. Unfortunately the Internet Router which follows is unable to identify itself.

@Firmcolin Thanks for the report; the same comment applies in your case. Smiley

@spraxyt Thanks! I thought so, but it's nice to have it confirmed. Smiley

Sorry, the tool being discussed here is supported by customers who have no control over your connection. Problems with your connection need to be taken up with Plusnet staff using Chat, Twitter or by calling in

talking to chat or phone reps is like talking to a brick wall that has a different answer every time, yet they all amount to being not very useful at all... any relevant information about your connection besides the IP profile is held by openreach, and you can't just ring them up to pester them instead because your internet account is through plusnet

Re: Gateway Check Issues.

Morning all.

So, at one point this week, I logged into my router.

Lo and behold, I'm on the new network.

Custom diagnostic check on IP 51.6.177.217

core2-hu0-18-0-0.colindale.ukcore.bt.net (62.172.103.16) 4.256 ms

Am I connected to Colindale Point of Presence?

Not only that, the diagnostic/connectivity check of the connection in my router fails when it comes to "checking" the connection.

Why is this?

Test Results
Test Succeeded Ethernet
Test Succeeded PPP
Test Succeeded IP
Test Failed Internet
  Disabled/Not OKConnectivity to Gateway (172.16.10.15)

But the connection is still working? I'm puzzled.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Mandeep

Re: Gateway Check Issues.

@Mandeep37  colindale is the culprit behind numerous issues on the new network, there's still ongoing problems while they fix it piece by piece...

Re: Gateway Check Issues.

@KS25 - thanks for the heads-up.

So this means that no-one knows how long this will take? Oh, all of a sudden, my dynamic IP address is stuck now. More new network issues?
