Please can I request a GEA Line test ,
I've been seeing a higher than expected snr for many months now following repeated power failures in my area last Autumn. Router stats show
Upstream Downstream
Current Rate (Kbps) 19999 66997
Max Rate (Kbps) 26118 76578
SNR Margin (dB) 8.7 8.5
Line Attenuation (dB) 8 8.9
Errors (Pkts) 0 0
looking to see if anything can be done to get back closer to max rate.
Thanks

Sounded like you are banded by DLM going by your history of power cuts and looking at the spare SNR and capped sync speeds. You have limited options available of requesting a DLM reset (v. difficult if no fault is found by Plusnet), upgrading/downgrading FTTC product (not guaranteed to remove banding) or your most likely option of waiting for a few weeks/months and seeing the DLM drop the banding on its own.
I was in a similar situation to you about a year ago and the banding only dropped off after a few months. Best bet is to leave the modem plugged in 24/7 without resetting it and watch the DLM does its thing.

Thanks for that information. I was on retransmission high with G.INP interleave set to high on DS and US about 4 days after my line activated on 8th March. However, G.INP on DS dropped to 8 bit interleave only (retransmission low) and turned off on US due to low amount of errors. Shame this hasn't reflected on the IP profile yet.
The interleaving depth in the modem stats does not indicate the level of error protection provided by retransmission (G.INP). I was talking about it saying "Retransmission High" in the GEA line test results.

I've requested this in another thread, but not sure if it's been picked up. Could I also request a new GEA line test please, I've made some changes at home and am interested to see if this has made a difference regarding radio interference, etc.
Thanks in advance.

@itd - I've updated your ticket. If you let me know on here once you've replied I can get the engineer arranged for you.

@Anoush could you please run GEA Line test on my account. I lost 25Mb speed a while ago which means my speed has dropped below estimates and I've change nothing my end on this line. Thanks
