One of the biggest lag tsunamis i have seen yet and again only during peak times , it 's A Something plusnet's side of things  B, Within the BTW network , If B then will affect customers of other ISP's who use BTW for back-haul , It will be affecting customers in only certain geographic areas,

I kind of thought it would be bad again tonight. Obviously something to do with routing. Strangely though I know a Plusnet customer living 20 miles away from me in Fife who is completely unaffected by this issue. So again it one of these ones only affecting some customers and not all.

Yesterday speed was fine, but service kept dropping and reconnecting.
I've been away in London since the 22nd and came back yesterday to this.
Currently unable to stream films or play games properly.

BTW Have a lot to answer for for not building enough resilience into their infrastructure in many parts of the uk , But are quick enough to take payment for their substandard service, And ISP's aren't any better,
You can be on a over contended SVLAN  and get swapped to another, then within 1month that SVLAN can become as bad as the first  rinse and repeat, either their network cannot cope with the amount of usage required  or they haven't got a clue how to manage it,IMO

To be fair.. the resilience is there (You are online...  ::)) The issue comes from the capacity they have available. With how BTw route traffic (which has always been... interesting)  it's likely that it'll affect more than just the north / anywhere flooded.
You've got to think that it's not business sense to have 300-400% capacity on each of your backhaul links you need, just incase an MBORC like Frank is currently causing.. which happens once in a blue moon. Don't get me wrong - it's pants and a poor show but it's difficult to blame BTw on this one IMHO as there's not a lot they can do if a major MSAN/POP is having serious issues, which are out of their hands. (IIRC Edinburgh is a massive MSAN/POP for BTW)
@deathtrap, also we're talking about 10's of gbp/s here, serious amounts of data per sec 

PN Will hopefully be able to provide a bit more info tomorrow, as they'll be able to engage with BTW over the issues (although they'll probably just throw back the MBORC)

Same again as lastnight, pretty much the exact same time as well. In Scotland like most of you too. Hope this doesn't continue on for days as it's already ruined some of my holiday time.

Just to say here in Eastern Scotland my FTTC has gone down to about 1.59 Mbps down and 4 up with 147ms ping. Usually 30  down 6 up and 20ms ping.
Rebooted everything, router, modem and computers, no better.
My 4G iPhone is doing a lot better on O2 at 24 down 12 up and 55 ms ping

I live in Northern Ireland and all my friends are having speed/connectivity/latency issues this evening (we all live in different parts of Northern Ireland - Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and Dunmurray).
All are reporting issues of slow speeds, high ping/latency (eg, 120ms ping to www.bbc.co.uk, Battlefield 4 servers that are normally about 30ms are now 130ms+), we're getting kicked off our TeamSpeak server very frequently for minutes at a time before it reconnects. It has stopped us gaming tonight unfortunately.
I've raised a ticket with PlusNet but just FYI in case anyone else in Northern Ireland is also having this issue.

Signed up to comment here. Also in Scotland (near Glasgow) and have gone from 60/15 to 3/4. Glad to see it's not just me that's having this problem and other Scots are getting it, although it's still unfortunate.
