Fibre upgrade

Hello, after waiting over a year for my green cabinet to get power, I have finally managed to order fibre ! 3mb Down and .25mb up for 10 years...........and I live 200m from the fibre cabinet 🙂

I really like my Netgear router I currently use on ADSL, unfortunately it is not VDSL compatible. I have ordered the Plusnet router One, but I would like to continue using my existing router as is setup the way I like, and has good range. Can I use the Plusnet One as purely a modem (Turning off the WIFI) and connect this to my existing router via Ethernet to handle the WIFI?
