Fibre unlimited down to 7mbps!

Connection dropped out yesterday and reconnected at 20mbps then dropped again and is now down to 7mbps.

My Minimum guaranteed access line speed: 39.8Mbps

Was running at low 40's until yesterday. Did the BT wholesale test and got 7mbps and it says my connection is ok!

Have tried all the tests and reboots, nothing works.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fibre unlimited down to 7mbps!

These are the results from the BT wholesale test. It says my max achievable speed is 7.52mbps and that there are no problems! Clearly they have done something to my line at the exchange.

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch.

I've been through the troubleshooting steps, have fitted a new filter and got it plugged into the master socket but still have the same speed Sad

Cheers,

Jason

Re: Fibre unlimited down to 7mbps!

Hi,

The openreach engineer has been. His tests showed no line faults and a speed at the socket of 46mbps.

Speedtests are showing 32mbps but he said this will probably increase in time.

He said someone was probably working somewhere on the line on Friday which caused the drop to 7mbps.

I don't know if the speed can be altered your end or if it will sort itself out?

Thanks for all the help

Jason

Re: Fibre unlimited down to 7mbps!

This is my latest BTW test result. The upload looks low but on speedtest it show 15mbps so is fine.

The speeds have returned to where they were before they dropped so I am happy with that.

As the Openreach engineer said when he visited someone must have done something to my line that Friday and it took a few days to ramp up after it was fixed.

Thanks for all your help with this.

Cheers,

Jason
