Fibre speed has dropped off from what it was 2 years ago

When I first started on fibre I was getting 10mb now 2 years on I am only getting about 6.5mb

Is there any reason for this?

I have changed nothing at home

Re: Fibre speed has dropped off from what it was 2 years ago

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch.

Looking at your line the estimates are between 7.5Mb/s and12.9Mb/s, this is the sync rate of your line so the raw connection speed between router and cabinet. The throughput you see will be lower than the sync rate.

Testing your line is showing it's actually synced just below the bottom end of this, but there is a known issue in your area at the moment:

Local issues like this generally don't impact the sync speed, however as we're being advised that this should be resolved tomorrow it's probably worth waiting and seeing what your line is looking like then.
