So, I reported a fault (18MBs on a line that used to report 38Mbs +
Took plusnet over a week to do anything noticeable and then something only happened when I did an online chat.
1st BT Engineer visit - not impressed. Was told he would be working external, so was surprised when he turned up unannounced but he had no idea why he was there, Declared that the modem was fault.
Plusnet sent out a new One hub (previously been using the separate modem/router),. It was even worse, connection kept dropping out.
2nd BT Engineer. Seemed pretty good, confirmed there was a fault on the line, but it was undergound and would require someone else to come out.
3rd BT Engineer. Found the fault was on the junction box on the outside of the house (corroded wires), NOT underground.
The only plus side is that the engineer visits were pretty much one day after the other.
Hopefully it is now fixed, just waiting for Plusnet to reset the speed.....

You'll be waiting a long time. PN cannot reset the speed on FTTC circuits. If the engineer didn't do it you'll just have to wait for DLM to relent. Could be days, could be a couple of weeks.
