Fibre keeps dropping 13/3/21

Had an on going problems with Hive since Christmas , changed router to BT home hub 6 , now changed to fibre with good uploads of 9+ . Just about to shout at Hive and realised i should check internet , rang plusnet they have said since Wednesday it has been dropping out frequently , been on fibre for 2 weeks no problem with connection then all of a sudden drop outs plusnet want me to get an engineer visit I have politely declined , I will do, test socket test any other ideas? Any suggestion apart from engineer welcome.

@Catpuss I have no other suggestions, but wonder why you don't want an engineer - this is most likely an external issue, and only BT/OR will be able to solve it?

Really? Why would it be an external problem. Why would it work normally for 2 weeks then loads of problems thought I would do test socket test first see how it goes for the next couple of days. I have to pay if it”s internal .

Well, most FTTC problems are external, and unless something has changed drastically inside your house - like the modem/router has failed or a cable has been damaged/come out, then is 99% likely to be external.

Wat has it been like in the test socket?

Have”t done it yet John , revving myself up to do it. Such a pain. Might eat my tea first! Thanks for the explanation.
