Fibre extra slow download speed

Our fibre connection has been seeming slow for a while now so I ran some checks today maxed out at 7mbps download.  Upload is fine at 15-19mbps.

I've tried wired and wireless connections.  Changed the cable and micro filter.  Also run a test through BTWholesale which confirmed the 7mbps speed.

Would anyone have any ideas?  Plusnet can you run any tests on the line please.

So I've tried the Plusnet modem and a TPLink modem with the same results.

Plusnet says the line is connected at 79.9mbps downsteam but I'm actually only getting a tenth of this is reality.

What else can I try?

The first thing I see on the screenshot is you are testing on Wi-Fi and also it’s saying your ISP is BT and not Plusnet.
If you can do a hardwire test and see if that’s better,
Are you using Wi-Fi repeaters in your home?

Thanks.  I've done a test using a network cable and also tried a couple of different modem routers.  Same results.

I guess it shows as BT on the speedtest as they own Plusnet?

Here's the hardwired test result through BT Wholesale pluged directly into the master socket....

Hi there,

I've given things a tweak here for you. Can you try a disconnect/reconnect of the router and see what it's like then please?

Well, that's amazing.  Back up to full speed!  No idea how long it had been so slow.  We had just accepted that internet speeds are rubbish.
