Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

Thanks.  On the test socket for the time being. Slight speed increase +1meg.

What router stats are you needing? I'm using the openreach modem and Asus 66 router.

Thank you

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

Hello.

I upgraded to Fibre Extra at the weekend and it was activated on 13 Nov. My speed has changed from an average 38mb in the past year or so to 37mb today!

Does it take a few days for the system to put the increased speed on perhaps or am I not getting something I have paid for?

I may sound thick saying this but I don't know what stats you require.  Sorry.

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

You mentioned Asus earlier, what do you see on the System log->DSL log tab?

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

I think the data rate would be useful, though I wouldn't know how you'd get it from your router.

I'll be happy to retest your line tomorrow with your router plugged into the test socket.

What's under the connections tab?

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

The connections log is local connections to the router.

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

The OP has an Openreach modem, so won't be able to see DSL stats unless its unlocked.

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

I like the Asus router but would a different modem be better than the openreach modem I have?

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

If your line is banded at 44Mbps changing the modem will have no effect, the banding needs to be removed but that is not easy. BT Openreach DLM is very reluctant to automatically remove it. An engineer can reset DLM after a fault has been fixed so you need to get PlusNet to arrange an engineer appointment as your speed is so far below your estimates. You should be getting  around 70Mbps or more.

Re: Fibre extra no quicker.

My area looks to have been recently upgraded and my banding is also stuck so my current line speed is around 17mbit and upload of 2mbit. The order to move to fibre plus completed in the early hours of this morning but the profile is still stuck.

Did you get this sorted in the end? @Gandalf is hopefully taking a look at my issue today and I can see he's been active in this thread.

I can see we're looking into booking another engineer visit to further investigate this.

Can you let us know if it goes ahead and how you get on?
