Fibre download speed down from 70Mb to 1.8Mb today =(

Same issue in Wiltshire 3Mbps download, should be 60-70Mbps. Upload is fine.

Can Plusnet update their status please, and give us an ETA for resolving the issue

I've seen the same claim about the upgrade failure (we might be on the same thread). Have asked for a source (my money is the person knows someone who works at plusnet).

Same here in Maidstone, Kent - usually a solid 74 down, but  today 1.58 down. Upload is fine at 18.76.

A reply on http://downdetector.co.uk/problems/plusnet/map/ about the outage says they have been advised by CS it will be fixed in 5 days... 

I will have left by then at this rate!

They should have a plan to rollback any change should it go (women's anatomy) upwards.

Spoke to them a 2nd time but couldn't get any info.  They just told me that they're getting a lot of similar reports nationwide but all their internal tests show no problem so don't know what the fault is who how long it will tae to be fixed, but they are looking into it

It is starting to really annoy me now that they will not acknowledge a national issue with the service on their website or social media channels. I did call the helpline to listen to the pre recorded message saying 'we are aware of an issue affecting some customers' but it's hardly keeping people informed.

It is 2017 and customer service has moved on and this is unacceptable as far as I am concerned. The twitter support handle @plusnethelp has started to respond to some people's complaints but 'Adam' seems oblivious to any wider issue and is cracking on with telling people to run diagnostics etc.

Hmm, so it sounds like a dodgy router firmware update has been pushed out maybe.
Not something beyond the router?

Ok so that's not the router I will test it myself later.
I do think it is bad for someone to not admit there is a problem and they're on the case (paraphrasing).

I'm using a Home Hub 6 because the Hub One is useless. I did a swap for an Asus I had knocking about as well, same speed issue.

Personally I can't see it being a firmware issue at router level, but I do accept I'm not a super techie.
