Yes agreed, it sounds like a configuration/firmware change (to their kit) has been made which hasn't gone well.

In this case, where multiple people have said the same thing, across the country - it should be rolled back and investigated why it was bad.

In my job I know how it is, nothing is ever perfect. I can also understand the lack of communication frustrates people, but to even admit there is a problem, we don't know what it is yet, we're looking into it would help.

fwiw, I haven't noticed any issues with my fibre connection.  speedtest.net and BT wholesale speedtester results look fine.

Could it be a gateway problem?

its not our routers, I have tried three routers and two modems and get the same problems.

There does appear to be a fairly major problem on the Network currently and is affecting ALL ISp's  Here's an example for Plusnet, but check out the other suppliers - a common problem.  Still doesn't excuse the lack of communication from Plusnet though. 

I'll give a prod to try and get a response.  But it is the weekend.

I am on Talk Talk Business. (main line) Streaming 4K from Plex as I type this - not had a problem for about 4 months.

I'm using a Home Hub 6 because the Hub One is useless. I did a swap for an Asus I had knocking about as well, same speed issue.

Personally I can't see it being a firmware issue at router level, but I do accept I'm not a super techie.

Ridiculous download speed in Grange over Sands Cumbria. Upload fine.

Must be a major failure for the WHOLE country to be affected. Surely BT will have its finest engineers sorting the issue?

Rather than asking useless Plusnet, has anyone actually contacted BT?

Same here in Hampshire. Usually around 19mb, now 1.03. I'm sooooooooo fed up with this service. The bloody router has been cutting out and dropping me at random the last few weeks and now this nonsense. I have to wait till March to escape, too. Not happy.

I was waiting to join, I just called and cancelled. I can't be having that sort of problem. Hope for a price rise soon is all I can say to you!

I have Talk Talk Business too - I might pay £45 a month but it's rock solid. I only wanted a backup. Bit pointless when the backup goes down more than the main!

BT report no problems, No ISP using Talk Talk wholesale has a problem either. This seems to be purely a Plusnet problem.
