Fibre broadband in my area?

Hello all,

I am currently on unlimited broadband and I was wondering if I am able to get Fibre broadband where I live.

I input my postcode on this webpage https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband/

and it says that fibre to the cabinet is available in my home.

I would like to use fibre when my contract runs out, would I be able to use my current router or would I need to use new equpment?

Re: Fibre broadband in my area?

@greengrass

If the computer says yes, then yes you can - unless capacity runs out before you order!!!

The results will have given you an estimate for the speed likely to be available from FTTC (VDSL).

PlusNet supply a rebadged BT HH5 for fibre connections.

Finally, PlusNet may be happy to upgrade you now, even though you still have time on your contract - perhaps with a new contract though.

Re: Fibre broadband in my area?

HI there @greengrass, thanks for your message.

@bmc is 100% correct - although I'd recommend speaking with the Customer Options Team in order to discuss how we can get you set up.They are contactable directly on 0800 013 2632 and they are open between the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 19:00
Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00

Alternatively, if you'd like to PM me the account username and best number to reach you on, I'll get a callback arranged.
