Fibre broadband alot slower since upgrading to fibre ultra??

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to fibre ultra from a standard fibre package. Since this has swapped over my broadband speed has been very poor. I have done a speed test via the plusnet help page using a cable from router to laptop with all wifi off, the results are Download 15.2mbps - Upload 0.5mbps  - Ping 21ms and Jitter 1ms. according to the bt speed availability checker i have available 71.5mbps - 49mbps download and 19.7 - 13.2mpbs upload. Obviously the broadband speed i am currently getting is nowhere near this. Is there somebody who could help me with this? Thank you in advance Ant.

Hi @antmotty 

I can see that your router is syncing at 17.7Mbps - this is obviously a lot lower than your estimates. 

Can you run through our troubleshooting guides here .

If that doesn't help, the next thing would be to rule your internal wiring out by plugging the connection into your test socket (which is under the faceplate of your master socket) and seeing if the drops stop. 

This rules out your internal wiring, face plates and extension sockets as being the cause of these drops.
