Fibre activation today?

Hi, my fibre activation is supposed to be today.
On speaking to support earlier they said it can take up to midnight or maybe tomorrow?
My understanding is open reach have to activate me at the cabinet? My old router is still connected to Adsl, using it as we speak I fact. Will this stop working once FTTC is active? Or should I just go ahead and put my new one hub on?
Anyway, obviously time is getting on, I'm thinking if it's not done by 6, I've had it?
I'm very eager to get off my 1.7meg connection which we have had for 5 1/2 years and had this order in for over 2 weeks, I just hope something hasn't gone wrong in the chain.

Your previous router (Assuming you're still using the technicolor router) would stop working once FTTC activates.
Having said this, the hub one works on both ADSL and Fibre, so if you were to plug that in it should switch over automatically.

Good Afternoon,
just had a quick check and the order is due to complete today but hasn't yet, no engineer notes to say he's done the work yet but shouldn't be too much longer
The ADSL will stop once the starts the work but won't be much downtime

Thanks for the update. I'll keep an eye out, just worried that with getting the 'your product changes complete' email like a week ago something will have gone wrong in the chain.
We will see, hopefully before 6 or so!

Apologies for any concern this has raised. This is because the account change went through prior to the order completing Embarrassed
Looking at the order at the moment, it seems to be progressing fine and I can't see any problems with it at the moment Smiley

It's 5.41 and no sign of anything. Technicolor Adsl still chugging along.

From what I can see you've been offline for 10 minutes and come back on so I'm hoping it's completed
