Fibre activated (??) but getting strange speed readings. help appreciated.

hi all

had fibre activated today (i think).

saw the bt or man working in the green cabinet by my house and my broadband went off.

since its been back on, i'm getting some odd speed test results.

prior to the work, i was getting about 11.5mbps down and about 1mbps up with a ping around 50ms

since the work, i'm getting about 12mbps down and about 18.5mbps up with a ping of around 15ms!

the "up" looks about right, as does the ping, but the "down" is no where near the 74-80mbps predicted.

help would be appreciated.
