Fibre Speeds down to 2MB

Im new to Plusnet regards my fibre but my expected speed should be 75MB.
In reality i have to keep disconnecting and switching off the router then restart to achieve 45MB......whislt i don't expect to get 75MB......2MB is proving difficult. After an hour is crawls down to 2MB.
I've tried all the tips but still no better.
Thoughts?

Your not turning the modem on and off are you because it will cause dlm to kick in.

Thanks....well that what the plusnet guide tells me to do.
So keep it on at all times even when the speed drops to 2mb....thats the problem it then stays at 2MB.

The modem and router are 2 different things, turning off the router is a safer option but the openreach modem should be left on at all times if you can as it could mess up the speeds on your line. you need to let DLM adjust your line over the coming days and bring your speeds up, it is thinking you have a fault on your line with you turning it on and off.

Our testing isn't showing any issues at the moment.
Just to confirm is this over a wired or wireless connection?
