Hi guys,
My switchover to Fibre occurred yesterday, or at least I think it did as I received an email mid afternoon telling me my upload speed had changed to 2MB, and upon checking the Plusnet Hub it was indeed displaying speeds of 40MB download and 2MB upload. I thought great lets test it out so I started downloading a 20GB game off of Xbox Live and left it to do it while doing other things. Now, when I checked back 2 hours later it had only done 8% of the download. This surprised me massively as the average download time of a 20GB game, over Xbox Live, on a 40MB connection is around 30-40 minutes. It was basically downloading at the same speeds as my previous 4MB connection would do.
So I went and tested my connection on a couple of different sites including speedtest,net and sure enough it was bringing me results of 4MB download but was correctly displaying my upload speed at 2MB.
My question to you guys is, can it take longer for the download speed to switch over because my impression would be that both the download and upload speeds would change at the same time? Despite my Plusnet hub telling me I'm receiving 40MB download speed, this clearly is not the case as it would mean there is no difference between 4MB and 40MB. .
Fixed! Go to the fix.

The profile update hadn't reached our side yet. I've updated that now, so if you do a single disconnect/reconnect you should see an improvement.
