Fibre IP Profile

Hi Guys,

My fibre is syncing at:
UP Speed
Down Speed
SNR Upstream
SNR Downstream
  17A
SHOWTIME
19999 (Kbps)
79997 (Kbps)
9(0.1dB)
9(0.1dB)

And my IP Profile is 77.34Mbps according to the BT Wholesale Diagnostics, is that about as good as its going to get.

Also is there sometimes mild congestion sometimes that drops the speed to around the 60-70mbit area around 5/6pm ?

Thanks

DM

Re: Fibre IP Profile

So are you making a statement or asking a question? You are syncing at the maximum speeds and something close to maximum profile, not sure about your SNR figures though. Speeds are not guaranteed so some slowdown at peak times is to be expected. Could be a lot worse! I've been waiting since the end of November for an upgrade from ADSL to fibre. BT checker said it was available but it turns out the cabinet or some other cabling was not ready, all PlusNet do is put my question on hold and say they are waiting for an update from their "supplier" who will not give any timescale for fixing the problem.

Re: Fibre IP Profile

I feel less bad about them bumping my install by a week and not telling me after your story.

Isn't their supplier BT ?
