Fibre Extra upgrade

Morning all,

Having just logged into my account I can see an upgrade offer for Unlimited Fibre extra from my current unlimited fibre. With my current account, I'm getting DL speeds of approx 58mbps, despite the Plusnet blurb stating the average is around 36mbps.

Question is will I actually benefit from upgrading to the fibre extra as the average quoted for this service is approx 66mbps. Can I expect to exceed this average as I am with the package I'm currently on?

FYI I'm pretty close to the exchange, have a cabinet at the end of the road(ish). You'll see from the image attached that BT wholesale recons the max achievable is 62mbps, so does that mean I'm pretty much topped out, or is that speed the one set by BT/Plusent for my monthly outlay?

TIA

Re: Fibre Extra upgrade

If the 58 Mbps is accurate then you must already be on fibre extra

Re: Fibre Extra upgrade

Fix

Hi @reefer110

@daveplus is correct - the speed cap for Unlimited Fibre is 40mb/s so your line must be configured for Fibre Extra to achieve the speeds you've shown. As such, making any further changes to your account would not provide an increase in speed.

Best wishes
