Fibre Extra 75 Mbps usually now stuck at 20 Meg.

Tried reseting router,  restart countless times, stuck at 20Mb according to ookla speed test. This is my desktop connected to LAN ethernet.

Chrome

IE11

firefox all the same.

BT WBPT saying 19 down  something up

Router saying 74.6 down 19 up.

Does the router need an update? I got version 4.7.5.1.83.8.237.2.2 last updated 05/08/17

Do PN still do tickets? or have I got to ring up?

Rather than ringing up, run though the checks at https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/connection-troubleshooting/ and report a fault at https://www.plus.net/apps/kbdfaults It takes a bit of your time but costs you nothing, and makes Plusnet aware of your issue, they have to look at it, and gets the issue into the queue for action.

Fix

Sorry to hear this.

It looks like your connection speeds dropped temporarily but picked up not long after.

Unfortunately your connection profile is still set low so I've updated this for you.

If you retest now you'll see a increase

Re: Fibre Extra 75 Mbps usually now stuck at 20 Meg.

Just interested to know what caused the slow down?

I have seen open reach doing quite a bot of work locally.

Re: Fibre Extra 75 Mbps usually now stuck at 20 Meg.

Hi @loony

The connection speeds dropped temporarily. We reviewed your connection profile and could see it was lower than normal. This was amended and the speeds increased.  Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the root cause of the issue but hope it does not occur again. – Waz

Re: Fibre Extra 75 Mbps usually now stuck at 20 Meg.

Hi, I've just checked your account and ran some diagnostics but we're not seeing any changes from our point of view this time.

The best thing to do if you're still having issues is to run a test at speedtest.btwholesate.com and follow the part for "further diagnostics" when prompted. Let us know here when you've been able to do that.
