Fibre Enabled Today - Download Speed Too Low

My Home Hub is syncing at 78.12Mbps Down and 19.53Mbps Up.  But speedtest.net is still showing my old ADSL speeds (20Mbps down, 1Mbps up).
Do I have to wait for something on my line to sync to the new available speed or should I be seeing the max speeds right away?
Plusnet gave me 76-80Mb estimate.  I'm very close to the cabinet and exchange.

Thanks.  I thought I was probably just being impatient.

Not really. It would be reasonable to expect PN to have everything working correctly from the moment of activation. Sadly there seems to be something wrong with their systems somewhere and a lot of people have to ask support to fix the problem.

Re: Fibre Enabled Today - Download Speed Too Low

Normally the plusnet system issue only affects download speeds.
The stated 1 mbits upload speed may indicate a different issue. I suspect that Namaste is still on ADSL.
Hopefully, one of the PN reps will take a look tomorrow.

Edit: But it looks at the moment like we're both wrong as a fault has been detected. Strange kind of fault though if the modem is syncing fine  Huh

This is not the case on this occasion, the profile on the account is and always has been set at 78000.
@Namaste - It looks like there may be a fault on the line and I can see you've raised this with our tech support team in the past couple of minutes for further investigation.

Re: Fibre Enabled Today - Download Speed Too Low

I managed to fix this.  The problem was on my end.  The Killer Network Manager app was limiting my network speed to my previous ADSL speeds.  Don't know why this was having an effect because it isn't even enabled on start-up.  Disabled it properly and got my correct throughput.

I explained the problem in my fault ticket and closed it.
