Re: Fibre Broadband

Hi @callinghall73ey, I'm sorry to hear you're having speed issues as of recent. I can see when testing your speeds they look to have certainly dropped recently and seeing you've had a line fault recently I'd imagine due to that. Today we are seeing 15.2Mbps download getting to the router however so I'd recommend re-testing your side to see if they've improved.
Let us know how they're looking today.

Re: Fibre Broadband

Hi @callinghall73ey,

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing problems. I've tested your line but the test hasn't picked up any faults from here and indicates that it's currently syncing at 15.2mbps, which is within the line's estimates of 11.7 - 20mbps.

So that we can determine the best next steps for you, please can you confirm whether this issue is solely affecting wireless connections or if wired connections are affected too?

Re: Fibre Broadband

Thanks for getting back to us @callinghall73ey

Ideally we'd need to narrow down where the issue may lie by asking you to try a wired connection, do you have a laptop or computer or do you just use mobile devices such as phones and tablets?

If you don't or you've tried that and your speeds are OK that way, I'd recommend trying the steps in the post Here and also in the blog post Here to try to improve the wireless signal.

If your speeds are still slow on a wired connection, is your router connected into the master telephone socket? If you're unsure what it looks like, this post should help.

Finally if your speeds are slow on a wired connection and you're in the master socket I'd recommend raising a fault to us at http://faults.plus.net so we can arrange a broadband engineer to visit and investigate further.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
