Fibre Broadband low speed - NEW Customer

Hi all,

I joined Plusnet 25 Aug 2016 but I used fibre broadband 15 Sep 2016. My broadband speed just less than 8meg at first time. But I am waiting for over 10 days as command.

Now my broadband speed range below picture.

Unfortunately, still I have very low broadband speed as picture.

you need to post the results of the further diagnostics test on the BT Speedtest

Good Afternoon, 

 

I've ran a test against your line which is showing you are in sync at the full 40/2 speeds you are provisioned on and your line is not dropping connection, are you testing wirelessly or wired?

Now I tested wirelesly. But wire is almost same.

Thank you for that, I would advise disconnecting anything you have on the wireless and only using the one wired machine to test for the time-being.

 

Once that's done, I'd suggest checking through this as this will help rule out internal wiring issues:

Check on the below link what your Plusnet line profile is set to.  I expect it has not updated from your ADSL speeds, Plusnet can reset this manually or my understanding is it updates automatically overnight.

@DangerousDave profile is at the full 40Mb, nothing limiting from our side or showing on tests unfortunately

I tested from the master socket in the morning and result.

Check that your username and password are correctly set up in the router. It's supposed to happen automatically the first time you connect, but it seems that sometimes it fails and you are connected as a dummy user with limited bandwidth. Look in Advanced Settings / Broadband / Internet on your router home page http://192.168.1.254 - it should show your correct username and not just a dummy plusnet one. If not, that's the problem.

Thanks for that.. Yes, I've checked that username and password are correctly set up as far as I can tell and a message in 'advanced settings' tells me no further action is required so I assume everything is correctly set up..
